This assumes that you're using an OS that distinguishes between
different-case filenames (Windows, generally, does not, though it
does (sometimes) preserve case). There may be some make utilities, etc. from
the Unix world that do respect case (the cygwin stuff comes to mind),
but I wouldn't count on it.
