I am working the licensing issue and hope to have positive news in 
that area by the end of the week.

However this should not prevent people from working on skins/players 
and the like since if a substitute is required it's quite feasible to 
use the mpeg plugin interface to interface to a different plugin thus 
preserving any work done in Squeak.
