[Modules] Images vs. module safety

I explain Envy this way...it is a tools that was designed to be a shared
version control system, not a modular system. And, in that role, it has
served quite well (and c'mon it's not that hard). However, I think we
should expect much more, and yet so much less, of a good modular system.
