Actually, I don't think it is buggy HTML. <td> should close the previous 
<td> and <tr> should close the previous <tr>, which should close the 
previous <td>. It's sort of like a list. <li> closes the previous <li>. 
Sure, it would be easier if each tag had a matching closing tag, but 
that's not the way HTML is.
