for any intrepid explorers who might want to try it out.  Tested
(minimally) on LinuxPPC and Linux-i386 (mainly to make sure the grass
was green for both bunnies).

V3 .image, .changes and .sources can be obtained from your regular
dealer (UIUC, for example).
