  Thank you for testing it.  Given the huge difference of
the write reslts of yours and mine, I'm leaning to say I
might have screwed up the test:-).  Maybe I overwrote an
existing file.  The bad thing is that my iPaq unit (or the
iPaq happened to be here) is under repairing and I can't
test it until it come back.

  Because the size of data was only (less than) 1MB, the
difference between 25000000 (your result) and 28571428
(mine) is not significant.
