3-button mice on Mac

Is there any support for 3-button USB mouse using a Macintosh? I tried a 
number of images (2.8, 2.9) and VMs. Yellow and Blue buttons produce the same 
action as Red button.

Other applications on Mac seem to respond to the second and third buttons in 
the same way. Can these events be distinquished?
