Due to the change of dropping the 68K code fragments in the 3.0.17 
mac VM, it had the side effect of breaking saveAsEmbeddedImage. You 
can still invoke this command with 3.0.16 or lower and it should 
work, but it will not produce a workable VM for 3.0.17 or higher.

I'm working on a fix.
