In print/non-squeak based documentation, it might make sense to adopt a
neutral name for the modifier keys, akin to the "red/blue/yellow" labels
for mouse buttons (which get mapped to such things as ctl-click and
alt-click, depending).

Of course, if you change the letter key, or do not adopt a systematic
switch, there will be trouble.

It might be nice to have a "versions" for keys so you could track changes
in assignments :)

Inside Squeak, in might be cool to have a way to query for the key cmd for
the particular function. That way, *whatever* the accelerator turned out
to be, it would show up correctly in the documentation (with, perhaps, a
little notice that this was a non-standard binding).

Alas, the key assignment code is too scattered and *ad hoc* at the moment
for this to be an easy hack. I'm very much interested in an improved
keystroke system (including stuff along the lines that Stephane indicated
he posted, with stuff settable on a per field basis).

Cheers,
Bijan Parsia.
