I reject european philosophy essentially for that reason and,
embrace sound science like that of Kant.
(A) I thought Kant was part of European philosophy.
(B) I've only ever heard of one truly peaceful culture, the Moriori of
the Chatham Islands. They were invaded, the men slaughtered, and
the women enslaved (to wrap a polite word around it) by a closely
related but less peaceful culture.
(C) OK, so I exaggerated in (B). There are a number of egalitarian
hunter-gatherer societies which sound pretty idyllic, until you realise
that they ruthlessly maintain their state by ostracising, expelling,
beating, and quite commonly killing anyone who gets ideas about being
a leader.
The Squeak community has plenty of high quality leaders, and I am delighted
to sit at their feet.
