Douglas,
  There is a large amount of work done by various individuals and groups.  Look
at http://minnow.cc.gatech.edu/squeak/1406#Mathematics .  Also, All Projects
(http://minnow.cc.gatech.edu/squeak/1406) is a excellent location to kept tabs on
a variety of Squeak project.
