Contest Technical Requirements
1. Each XML Web service must be able to produce and consume valid
SOAP messages based on the SOAP 1.1 specification
(http://www.w3.org/TR/SOAP/).
2. Each XML Web service must have a valid, accessible WSDL 1.1
(http://www.w3.org/TR/wsdl) file for all public services applicable
to the contest submission.
3. Entrants may submit more that one contest submission.
4. Entrants may submit more than one service; however multiple
services must be have its unique UDDI service key.
5. Each XML Web service must be registered into the public UDDI
directory according to the rules located in the section below
"Registering Your XML Web Service in UDDI". Please note that these
instructions require certain registration techniques in order to
provide discoverability of your service inside of Visual Studio .NET
Beta 2.
6. Each XML Web service must be fully functional according to the
operations specified in the applicable WSDL file.
7. Each XML Web service must provide some type of quantifiable
value-add for either improved user experience, improved business
process or both. This information must be provided in the contest
registration questionnaire.

8. It is not necessary for the XML Web service(s) to be built
using Microsoft technology.

9. All SOAP endpoints must be accessible via HTTP.
10. The information provided in the contest registration
questionnaire and collected during the judging process, unless
otherwise noted, maybe used for marketing purposes after the contest
period.
11. Entries cannot be directly based on a third party XML Web
service. For example you cannot submit a service that is already
publicly available, unless you are providing a significant value add
to the features of the existing service.
