Perhaps this is slightly OT, but speaking of publishers and formats...
	does anyone know how publishers feel about LaTeX/TeX?  PDF?  Or do they
	all expect Word format?
	
The only publisher I know anything about is MIT Press, and LaTeX was their
preferred form.  O'Reilly, of course, prefer DocBook.

DocBook may be the best choice.  The DocBook book comes with software so that
you can convert it to other formats, including LaTeX and Word.
