Thank you for posting this Ned.  I recall the short thread we had about
it, where this solution was discussed.  This should definitely make it
into the 3.3 update stream asap, and I will rerelease a new zip for 3.2.

This weekend, I hope to continue with the WeakMessageSend we were
discussing, for the receivers and args.  How does the finalization
mechanism work?  Will it nil out garbage slots?
