Depending on how much UML support (i.e. do you just want pictures or 
do you want to capture everything including all the method 
signatures, etc.) you need, you could try my Connectors, which work 
fine for drawing UML class and state diagrams (and can be easily 
coaxed into supporting other kinds of drawings).
