That's not too awful, at least based on the assumption that you haven't
been able to beat the stupid gcc optimisation problem of recent threads.
My Acorn gets 12mbc/s & 420ksends/s with all its optimisations turned
on, but with a pathetic memory bus (more of a memory handcart really),
so ultimately iPaqs ought to get around 12m & 500k. Of course, the Omega
Risc OS machine is supposedly soon on sale and that looks like it should
promise around four times my curent performance, until theXScale cpu
upgrade is usable at which point I ought be pretty much up to date with
maybe 100bc/s & 2msends/sec.
