Way back in 2002 (2.7 days) I implemented Rivests
et.al's Compatibility model for Squeak.

NB. Read Rivest's paper on explicit metaclasses:

Alas the site hosting the changes is no more, but the
mail above lays it all out.

The implementation is quite simple - the hard parts is
getting to grips with the circularity.

Changing the file/in file out and browser would be the
other (tedious) task.

IMO explicit metaclasses are good stuff.
