I'm going to need a mac user that has a dual processor machine that 
is running OS-X so I can confirm the correct usage of pthread mutex 
semaphores to prevent race conditions between the UI input thread, 
and the VM thread.

This is hard to test, other than  by reading the code, when you've 
only one processor. Mind even with a two processor box it's hard to 
confirm it's correct, but if I can say it doesn't lock up in the 
first 30 seconds then I'm happier.

Unless of course someone wants to spring for a dual processor mac for 
me... (I'm quite willing to listen to offers)...
