I'm about a day or two away from posting a YAX/Exobox XML parser, which
shouild be about as small as the exobox parser, semi-validating, fast
and passes most of the SUnit tests.
I can't really get it to wash my car though yet... ;-)

The SAX interface stays the same as the YAX one, so you could start with
the current YAX version.
It also supports the Exobox interface, so make your pick :-)
