I do believe that that is exactly what I suggested some time ago :-)

I think we can (nearly, anyway) provide
a) cvs - latest dodgy code, take care
b) cvs - last tagged stable release to match last image relase
c) archive - last tagged stable relase of cvs contents
d) archive - complete generated sources for a stable release for a
particular platform.

a) would be for lunatics like myself, seeking new ways tocrash thier
machine.

b) would be for people with a working system wanting to build the latest
known-ok vm via vmmaker, and then maybe tinker a little

c) would provide the same ability for people without access to cvs for
some reason

d) would provide a complete, ready to go source tree as generated by b)
for a particular platform

Anyone attempting a port to a new machine and that has an already
supported machine would start with b) and develop the new machine's code
and use the cross-generation abilities of vmmaker. Lacking an already
supported machine, start with d) and develop new code then eventually
incorporate it into vmmaker-land.
