Being one of those lucky persons who read French I quickly checked out the
pdf-files Stephane Ducasse mentioned at www.eyrolles.com. 

I will have little time the coming weeks, but yes - it's a great
introduction; deserves translation; and will much help all newbies. Lucky
readers of French!
