Ian -- It looks like either the images didn't get tarballed correctly or inisqueak is a bit off. I downloaded and untarred Squeak-3.3.1-image-3.3alpha-4881.tar.gz and the files were placed in usr/local/lib/squeak instead of usr/local/lib/squeak/3.3.1, so inisqueak complained. Also, the changes file is only gzipped, not tarred, to I had to guess (it wasn't /too/ hard) where it was supposed to go.

Hmmm...and should I have expected inisqueak to transform Squeak-3.3alpha-4881.images (and .changes) into squeak.image (and .changes) when they get copied locally? Because without the transformation, I have to specify the image name when I run squeak. Just a nit.
