I was going to work on such an editor, although, not WYSIWYG. I like
LaTeX, and have been bitten by so-called WYSIWYG editors in the past.
Yes, it's very primitive, but I wouldn't say that Word or Word-like
editors are the apex of user friendly, but I wouldn't imagine anyone else
would too.

In any case, for a summer research project (http://www.urop.umn.edu), I
pitched to a prof either working on Dynapad (http://spe.sf.net), or a TeX
analogue in Squeak. He liked the Dynapad idea more, so that's what I'll
be working on this summer. But I still may be able to work on the TeX
analogue some on the side.

In any case, I was going to use markup, probobly s-exps. I'd write it in
common lisp, but the goal here is to be able to live out of Squeak as much
as possible. It hurts to use Squeak for a while, working intently on a
project, then have to go and deal with <insert desktop-os here>. It would
output PostScript. If anyone is interested in helping out with such a
project, let me know.

Regards,
Aaron
