Well you do need to figure out why the gunified c version doesn't 
work. It works ok for me compiling under os-x MMmm wait I recall 
there was some sort of problem .

Ah I remember I had to use the -no-cpp-precomp option to make apple's 
compiler happy with the gnuified stuff. Try that on interp.c
