There are programs that offer the user an option to put a normal ruler and
adpt the screensize to the physic ruler sizes..


My problem is PRECISELY that there is a dramatic size discrepancy
between what I see on the screen and what I get on the paper, and
there seems to be no direct way to control this.

The fact that N screen inches turn into KN paper inches (K > 1)
is precisely my problem.
