Indirectly, yes. Use the VMMaker (see the swiki for instructions, downloads etc) and only drag the desired plugins into action. Press the button. Compile. Many people have been able to do this with reasonable success.

On Acorn, around 290kb total. On x86 unix around 1.5mb or so from the standard build  have, or, stripped ~650kb.
