Yes, Adobe has been doing this for quite a while with PDF, which is
turning into a *complete* monster. Most of the galloping featurits is
completely gratuitous, many specified features don't even work in
Adobe's own products, etc.
However, this time it isn't Adobe's fault. The PDF generated by
eDocPrinter (not an Adobe product) is simply buggy. In PDF, each
"object" at the structure level is syntactically delimited by
<n> <m> obj
...stuff..
endobj
For at least one object in this particular file (object 6, a font), the
'endobj' is missing. Acrobat apparently doesn't even notice, wheras
both Apple's reader and mine barf on that.
