If you take a 3.2 image and load updates, you will have the
opportunity to move your image forward to 3.4a.
Squeak 3.4a consists of the following:
* Squeak 3.2/5956 is its point of departure.
* There is no module-related code.
* All the *non*-module-related advances in Squeak 3.3a, including
the registering file-list and the "nu blu" events system, have been
incorporated.
* There is a direct user-interface to SqueakMap, and the system is
"SqueakMap-ready."
Our intention is for Squeak 3.4 to go very quickly to beta, without
further enhancements except in further service of SqueakMap, and to
go "final" in December.
If you open up a SqueakMap "Package Loader" in 3.4a today, you will
see no packages listed, because no packages have registered
themselves for 3.4a yet. But they will soon ;-). Meanwhile, toggle
"display only packages for current version" off (this is in the menu
of the top-left pane of the SqueakMap Loader) and you'll see the full
list of packages.
Cheers,
-- Scott
