SqF Swiki down / Comanche memory usage

The SqF Swiki server went down yesterday b/c the VM ran out of memory. I've
restarted it, apologies for the outage (and for that fact that yours truly
cannot with a script that automagically restarts the thing - I'll look into
that this weekend).

Which brings me to the question: what can cause high memory usage with
Comanche? Assuming that it doesn't have any leaks, what are the memory effects
of:
- lots of traffic;
- searches on big Swikis;
- large uploads
? (these are just the possible causes I can come up with).

The Swiki VM is running with -memory 12m (the host is a 32M virtual linux box,
and I need space for the kernel, the Xvnc server, and a login session). It's a
tribute to the VM and Comanche/Swiki that it operated for 5 months without
a hitch in this tiny piece or RAM...
