Thanks for the suggestion re runnable processes.  One clarification 
though, the print function in question was a found jewel in the 
Windows VM sources - I can't take credit for it.

Is there a way to test interpreter functionality in Smalltalk w/o 
simulating the entire interpreter?  As it is, I've been making _very_ 
small changes and recompiling the VM to test them.
