  The numbers from two different platforms are:

  iPAQ 3600: 10638297 bytecodes/sec; 425509 sends/sec
  iPAQ 3955: 16368286 bytecodes/sec; 389862 sends/sec

The first one, iPAQ 3600 is a StrongARM 206MHz and the other is PXA
250 400MHz.  The bytecodes/sec number of 3955 is about 60% better than
3600 but the send is 10% worse.

  Hmm.
