It is probably the same problem that a number of people, myself included, have had in running 3.7 images on Linux.  If you search back through the mailing list you will find a number of posts that describe how you rebuild the VM for operation in 3.7.  Ned has supplied various VM fixes as well and you can get these from CVS - there is a post about this too.
