Well, there are others with better insight in teaching than me but
Stéphane Ducasse has made a lot of books freely available as pdfs at:

I think you will find some very good introductory stuff there.

Welcome to the Squeak community by the way! Also note that this list is
for newbies and pros alike - don't get scared by the advanced topics,
just fire away with those inevitable beginner's questions. :-)
