Normally you register to the mailing list but you can also
use a news reader

If you are new to smalltalk and squeak read Smalltalk by Example
which is free online at

You can also read the mailing-list as a newsgroup by registering
to the news.gmane.org newsgroup: 
gmane.comp.lang.smalltalk.squeak.general.
There's also a gmane.comp.lang.smalltalk.squeak.foundation newsgroup.
