A SAR file isn't more useful than a plain .st file to someone without MC.
The hope is merely that it's as useful, or almost (since they're one unzip
command away from having the plain .st).

However, it's considerably *more* useful to someone that *does* have MC.
The idea here was to come up with one format that was maximally useful
when averaged over the set of all users, whether they have MC loaded or
not.
