As I recall, the initial post enquired about *applications* that might be
hurt by the lack of fractions. An obvious example of a *technique* that
would be hurt is the simple to:by:do: message that would require some
strange contortions for fractional steps if fractions were not available. In
fact, it is quite common that people have difficulty understanding why it
(sometimes) does not work as expected with Float steps.
