Yeah, they seem to be saying that the differences are:
1. not all of their objects are "active"
2. they don't always send async messages

but the same is true of hybrid actor languages (see Object Oriented 
Languages by Gerald Masini and others).

Also, I'm not sure what they mean by "dataflow" communication here.
