I have avoided updating hoping things would be fixed before I 
needed/wanted to update.

I decided to try out the Jabber client.
I needed to update first.

 From a 5248 image I can't get past 5256 due to a MNU: 
initializeNetworkIfFail: in the NetNameResolver class.

I've tried the
Socket deadServer: ''.  doit as posted previously.

Did I miss something in a previous message that I need to do?
I tried reading the previous emails on this.

Any help greatly appreciated.
