It hasn't really come any further in a while.  Not because it couldn't 
be taken further but because CVS works fine for pretty much everything 
Avi and I do so we haven't been that motivated.  I still think it has a 
lot of potential so if there's some interest, and particularly if others 
want to help out, we may be able to find some more time to pull it out 
and dust it off.

As I recall, it was left off in a state where we were having a lot of 
disccusion about different types of merge patterns 
(client-side/server-side, branches/named changesets, etc) and trying to 
figure out which way we wanted to go with it.  The problem was almost 
that what is there so far could be used as a base for any of the methods 
and we just weren't sure where to go with it next.
