Just wanted to say that I gladly rip out TimeStamp from SM and change to
whichever lightweight solution sounds best.

>From what you say perhaps the ANSI package is the best to go with. And
perhaps that is also an indication that we should try to make that
package (and similar packages) into official Squeak packages so that
they are more easily "heavily depended upon".
