[Originally sent to the list last summer, this is resubmitted again for
harvesting.  I have used it for the last year without any problems.  It
fixes a clear bug in the existing 3.6 image, as well as earlier images.
The fix modifies one method.]

There was a bug in the APOP authentication for fetching mail. 
This caused it to fail roughly one time in 16 because the hash was not
the required 32 bytes long.
