Gentlemen,

     I was able to compile 3.4 on my FreeBSD 4.7 by looking at the 3.2 
ports and hand applying the single patch for the pty.h problem. It has 
been rock solid stable running a seaside app for two months.

It is a very easy fix and works fine. I had swapped emails with Ian and 
he was going to put up a FreeBSD patched version of 3.4 (at the time), 
but I think he is OBE!
