hanging on startup

I'm using Squeak 3.4.4 with the 3.5-5180 image.

I have two apps that use external resources: the Comanche package
(KomHttpServer 6.1 (Build #20)) and Diego's ODBC code from June 2002.

If this is related to not shutting down commanche, is there an easy way to
force it to shutdown everytime I do an exit?

thanks.
