Bert Freudenberg <bert at isg.cs.uni-magdeburg.de> asked me about changing  
the supported  depth in the VM from 1->32 to the ones actually  
supported in 3.6.1. In doing this I took a look at, and decided to add  
the  ability to handle squeak set to 8 bits when the screen is 8/16/32  
bits. I don't have a mapping  for 16/32 to 8 bits, but who runs a  
display in 8 bits anymore wanting to use a 16 or 32 bit depth in  
squeak? Well maybe I'll consider that tomorrow.
