Can't resize VM Window on 3.6 Mac OS 10.1

I do have a 10.1.5 machine in the lab just to test/review these issues.
However in looking at the VM code I don't see
what's broken, mind I'm sure it would have been noticed when 10.1.5 was
new, so does anyone recall if this was a problem?

At best I can compile a VM targeting 10.1.5 and see what happens, later
after confirming the software does do what
I thought it should be doing.
