Maybe I should consider using something like Dolphin for
experimentation in the corporate world--cost is a personal factor.
And then just play with Squeak for the fun, help with docs as I learn
more, etc. After all the experimental side is just what attracts many
of its devotees. (And the colors--a little customizing and it looks
so good!)

ANd yes, we probably are from different worlds. And I should not
pound you for the one you have or more to the point the one I have ;-
). If you like your world, be smart and stay there. I can't recommend
mine--there they think Microsoft Office is innovation. And it can be
very tough to use less than 'orthodox' software. We all know that the
language surrounding an application can keep it from ever getting to
the starting gate in some work environments. I'm not saying this is
right. I'm just saying is often happens. (BTW this theme has occurred
before in the forum and the comment can die here AFAIAC. :)

FOR THE RECORD: 'Sandbox' is an excellent term. As you might suspect
it is not one that I can not necessarily use with some who foot the
bills in my world. You implemented 'Sandbox' and the term is
very 'Squeakish' in character, and hence appropriate. I meant no
offense.

But making a category for code in progress must be a common worthy
task. Pre-wiring a 'Sandbox' reinforces the idea. I would make sure
the absolutely first-time out-of-the-box new user is aware
of 'Sandbox' and given a little guidance on categories in the context
of 'taking care of your new' programming environment. Maybe as a part
of a 'things you need to know' list that's right there in the Squeak
intro when you run it the first time.

Makes sense to me. But you may want to distinguish between clay and
stone. The latter is hard to smush.

Best regards, and thanks again for the sandbox.
