This is *precisely* the config of the machine I originally used to
port Squeak away from MacOS!! I still have that machine (sitting
under a pile of cables in a corner). All of the SunOS weirdness
needed to compile Squeak is still more or less in the 3.6 sources,
although debugging a build process that could require an hour or more
to run to completion on an IPX is not an appealing thought.

I actively supported SunOS all the way up to Squeak version 2.6.
There are binary releases for SunOS available here:

  http://www-sor.inria.fr/~piumarta/squeak/unix/release/Squeak-2/

A quick "ls" reveals:

   93522 Jun 9 1999 Squeak-2/SqueakPlugins-2.4c-sparc-sunos-4.1.4.tar.gz
  169067 Jun 9 1999 Squeak-2/SqueakVM-2.4c-sparc-sunos-4.1.4.gz
  427467 Oct 15 1999 Squeak-2/Squeak2.5-sparc-sun-sunos4.1.4.tar.gz
  429283 Oct 18 1999 Squeak-2/Squeak2.6-sparc-sun-sunos4.1.4.tar.gz

2.6 .image, .changes and V2 .sources files are in the same directory.
Source code is there too, and should compile fine on SunOS 4.1.4.
