I didn't notice it being mentioned, so I must suggest that your idea 
(and others in this thread) should build on Craig Latta's Flow 
framework -> http://netjam.org/flow/. Not that it covers everything 
you've talked about, but is worth placing within the discussion, as it 
has been around for a while and is part of how Squat works.
