In the shifted text pop-up menu, we have 'set font...' and the 
marginally useful 'set style' and 'set alignment', but inexplicably 
there seems to be no 'set emphasis' to let you set an arbitrary text 
selection to bold or italic.

This would be really useful if someone wanted to implement it. :)

(and the lack of this feature and other problems related to font 
replacement is making it a real pain in the a** to edit the Welcome 
window in 3.7 at the moment...)
