Folks, we're not the only ones getting hacked -- WikiSpam is rampant
among Wikis right now (e.g.,
http://www.usemod.com/cgi-bin/mb.pl?WikiSpam). This is a problem with
the medium. We can require user authentication to edit, but we'll
dramatically changing the culture of the Squeak Swiki. We can do that,
but we'd like to explore other options first.

If you'd like to help, may I remind you that Swiki is an open source
project? The source is at http://minnow.cc.gatech.edu/swiki If you
have an idea for a good solution to WikiSpam, please do implement it
and share your fix with the Swiki community. I just did a Google
search, and there are 260,000 hits on "swiki," so the value/utility of
fixes to Swiki that help with WikiSpam is pretty darn high -- there are
lots of people who can use good Swiki fixes!

Thanks!
Mark
